Learning is a life long endeavor
— Peri Gilbert-Reed

Counseling is an ever-changing profession. As clinicians, our committment to learning enables us to provide the best quality to care to our clients. But sometimes learning can appear tedious, long, and bland. NWLA’s committment is to provide learning that engages you in such a way that you do not keep looking at the clock, but you keep looking at the stock of things to do and learn during the training! You walk away refreshed, renewed, and ready to use what you have learned!

Never stop learning because life never stops teaching.

“Mrs. Peri Gilbert-Reed graduated from the Counseling program at LSUS and has flourished in the profession since then. I invited her to speak to my Counseling students about play therapy in family and couples counseling. She was knowledgable and animated. She guided my students to use play across the life span as a communication tool and demonstrated how to engage clients with multiple Play Therapy activities. Students were fortunate to experience how to make healing fun. We all enjoyed it! ”
